Medina o Medina....

(hubby with all our children at KLIA)

(me with Ayeshah just before checking in at KLIA)

My husband and our children sent Ayeshah and me to the airport.  We had lunch at McD at KLIA while waiting for our flight.  We finally checked in at 2.15pm after bidding farewell to darling hubby and the children.  One final hug and kisses on hubby's cheeks (cannot kiss on his lips lah....so malu....hehehe....), and down the escalator to the immigration counter.  I felt really heavy to leave them all behind,  but God willing, will return to them soon enough...

After clearance at the Immigration counter, Ayeshah and I went to the surau at the satellite building to do our prayers (jamak zuhur and asar) since there was a long queue at the surau near the boarding gate.  We finally board MH 150 at 3.20pm Monday 27 June.

The flight to Jeddah took approx 8 hrs.  From the jumbo's window, I could see its wing, which meant that we were sitting in the middle of the jumbo.... The emergency exit was right behind us... Prayed we have a safe flight.... Amin.

I was asleep when the stewardess gave out refreshments..(just orange juice and peanuts, according to Ayeshah).  She left a packet of peanut for me... so sayang...  Anyway, we were given meals, twice.... so...nothing to complain.... I fell in and out of sleep during the 8 hour flight... and during my 'wide-eyed' period, I wanted to watch the inflight movie.... but when it was Adam Sandler acting.... i wanted to vomit..... I so no like him at all...... So, I tried playing the games available.... I played 'unscramble'... and when I had to key in my name, I simply type a pseudonym (correct spelling ah??).... Since I was still unfamiliar with the remote control..... I kept on typing the wrong answers by pressing the wrong alphabet keys.... Imagine my embarrassment when my numbered seat appeared on the list of players in the plane.... I was fourth from the bottom!!!!  AIYAAAAAA!!!! so........malu....... Cannot erase some more.....

We finally reached Jeddah airport (King Abdul Aziz  International Airport) at around 6.30pm (local time).  We were ushered into the airport bus to the Hajj Terminal about 10 mins ride from KAAIA.

I was impressed with the new Hajj Terminal... so much better then when I did my first Hajj in 1987.  Going through Immigration was a breeze.... (perhaps they have improved their services??)  Once we got our luggage (Ayeshah and I only had one suitcase each), we boarded the bus which took us to Medina.  It would be a five hours journey.  After about an hour, we stopped at a rest area and had our maghrib and eshaq prayers.  Dinner was provided, rice and roasted chicken, a banana and a  bottle of mineral water.  I dozed off about 20 mins after the bus started to move towards Medina....ZZZzzzzzzzz.....
