Hajj Rituals - Arafah, Mudzalifah, Mina

Arafah: Our coach left Mecca at 8am and arrived Arafah an hour later. Our Camp 112 located on top of a hill. So we found a spot on the vast hillside opposite our camp during Asr to do our zikr and duas until sunset. Alhamdullillah.

Muzdalifah: We left Arafah after Maghrib for Muzdalifah. Traffic was heavy. Our coach was diverted from the main route by the traffic patrol and we found ourselves stranded among the thousands of pilgrims beside the highway. There was a huge drain separating us from the highway to Mina. Hubby and I got off the coach and set foot on Muzdalifah soil. We laid our prayer mats for us to sit on, near the coach, facing the highway.

We collected 70 pebbles each for stoning the Jamrat at Mina. Hubby also helped collect pebbles and put it in the empty bottles scattered everywhere and threw it across the huge drain for some of the pilgrims who signalled to hubby to help collect the pebbles too.

We were at Muzdalifah until 2am Friday 1 September. Alhamdullillah we managed to leave Muzdalifah after the other pilgrims'coaches behind us reversed and left the area. Kudos to our Indonesian driver who professionally reversed our coach to the main  highway too.

We did not drive to Mina instead we returned to Mecca to do our Tawaf Ifadah and Saie Hajj. (Note: Hubby not wearing his Ihram top, see pic below, because I use it as a pillow when I wanted to sleep. 😁😁😁)
Hubby managed to solat Eid Adha at Masjidil Haram whilst I did mine in our hotel room. 😔
Then when hubby returned from the Masjid we got ready to do our Tawaf Ifadah and Saie Hajj. We left our hotel at 8am and completed both Tawaf Ifadah and Saie Hajj at 10.30am. We also completed our Tahallul Awal. Alhamdullillah.

I was born 10th Zulhijjah 1377. So I am 61 years old today. 😁 Alhamdullillah.

Mina: We left for Mina after solat Asr 10th Zulhijjah. We arrived Mina about an hour later. But our coach was not allowed to drive straight to our camp 211 in Mina.

So we had to walk about a kilometre to our camp. Since we have to pass through the Jamrat to reach our camp, we did our stoning of the Jamratul Aqabah and thus completed Tahallul Thani.

We did Nafar Awal after stoning all the three Jamrat on 11th (8pm) and 12th Zulhijjah (5.30am) and returned to Mecca after our breakfast 3 September at 7am (12 Zulhijjah). Alhamdullillah.

We will be in Mecca until 13 September where we will fly home In shaa Allah.
Thus we have completed our Hajj journey. Alhamdullillah.

"O Allah...if this is our last Hajj please grant us Hajj Mabrur. If not, please let us do our Hajj again and again O Allah."

Tawaf Sunat at Haram

After breakfast I informed hubby that I would like to spend my time at Haram until after Asr. Hubby agreed and that he would join me later since he wanted to get some sleep after being at Haram since Fajr.

Alhamdulillah this time I got to do Tawaf Sunat at ground level. It was very crowded with pilgrims from all over the world. When I did solat sunat Tawaf I managed to do it behind Maqam Ibrahim. But of course lah further back and at the women's prayer area too.

I thought I could just sit there and looked at the Kaaba whilst zikr, but then the Haram soldiers chased us away and we ladies have to move further back. 😯

Well, as long as I can see the Kaaba from where I sat now, I am blessed.  As I looked around I noticed there's an ablution cubicle for Ladies.  Alhamdulillah.

After solat Zuhr, ladies be on the lookout for the Haram cleaning crew, if they began tapping their broom, and ushering you to move away, better grab your sejadahs and belongings and keep out of their way because once they began pouring the soapy water, you are considered lucky for not getting wet. Hahaha.....

The cleaning crew are very good with their timing and teamwork.

As for me when I saw them coming I quickly grab my belongings and stood on the steps of the Ladies Ablution entrance. Thus I avoid getting wet. 😁😁😁

They will come cleaning after every solat. Trust me.

I did not go to Haram for Zuhr prayer so I did my solat in our room.  But then I took these pictures from our window before I began my solat. 😁

Omron Micro A-I-R U22 Pocket Nebuliser

My coughing was getting sooooo bad that hubby told me to contact my physician Dr Ong at KPJ Kajang.

I managed to speak to Dr Ong and when he heard my coughings over the phone, he quickly instructed me to start nebulising and consuming the medicines he normally prescribed for my condition. Bronchiatis attacked me again.

So after the teleconversation with Dr Ong, hubby took me to Al Nahdi Pharmacy at our hotel mall and bought me the pocket size battery operated Omron Nebuliser which costs SAR1,110. Total cost with its medicine SAR1,271.85

Hubby was very worried with my condition and wants me to get well before Wukuf which is just around the corner. That is why he is willing to spend such a huge amount to ease my suffering and to get well speedily In shaa Allah.

I have to neb every six hours, a mixture of 1ml Ventolin with 2ml Saline, and to swallow Singular every night before bedtime. Too bad Al Nahdi does not sell Ventolin nebules otherwise easy for me to just use the nebules instead of using a syringe to measure the dosage levels of Ventolin and Saline solution.

TH Clinic Maktab 81

I was coughing so badly that hubby brought me to the nearest TH Clinic at Maktab 81.

We left our hotel after breakfast and arrived at the clinic half an hour later.  There were a large number of TH pilgrims also waiting to be treated.  Most of them were coughing like me.

The good doctor prescribed cough and flu medicine and by the time we left Maktab 81 it was almost Zuhr.

When we reached Haram, Azan Zuhr echoed throughout Mecca. During Hajj the Imam will immediately began Zuhr prayers after Azan.

Hubby and I could not enter Haram so we did our solat just outside Haram in the sweltering heat.  Alhamdullillah there were cooling fans everywhere outside Haram thus cushioning us from the afternoon sun.

After solat we had our lunch at level 6 Al Fayad Restaurant. On our way back to our room, I took a few pictures of the villas on level six.

Then when I open my family group Watsapp, there was this cute picture of my grandson Muhammad Zavian which his mom sent. I missed my grandchildren soooooo much. 😢😢😢

Soalan: Dr, MAZA, apakah benar bahawa sepuluh hari bulan Zulhijjah ini paling terbaik untuk kita beribadah. Tidakkah Ramadan bulan yang terbaik? Jika benar sepuluh hari Zulhijjah terbaik, apakah amalan yang patut saya lakukan?
Jawapan Dr MAZA: Memang benar, terdapat dalil daripada al-Quran dan al-Sunnah yang memberi maksud sepuluh hari awal Zul Hijjah merupakan hari-hari yang penuh dengan kelebihan dan kurniaan Allah. Bahkan dalam hadis, Nabi s.a.w menyatakan sepuluh awal Zulhijjah merupakan hari-hari yang paling terbaik untuk seseorang melakukan apa-apa amalan soleh. Berikut dalil dan perbincangan;

1. Firman Allah dalam Surah al-Fajr ayat 1-2:
(maksudnya: Demi waktu fajar.

2. Dalam hadis Nabi s.a.w :
